It may be the happiest day of your life but planning for it isn’t easy. Getting ready for a wedding can be a very difficult thing to pull off. From putting together guest lists to finding the right floral arrangements, there’s hundreds of details big and small that you need to keep track of. Putting together a dream wedding can be a daunting task, but there’s one element of your wedding preparation that’s sure to make your day everything you envisioned. The perfect venue for your wedding is aboard a Skyline Cruise.
Skyline Offers a Spectacular Wedding Venue
Booking a wedding aboard our luxury yacht, the Skyline Princess means you will have a spectacular backdrop to your wedding. Imagine taking your photos with some of the world’s most famous sights serving as a backdrop. We cruise past the awe-inspiring New York skyline. The Skyline Princess passes under the Brooklyn Bridge into New York Harbor giving you a breathtaking view of the Statue of Liberty.
But that’s just the beginning. Skyline offers the perfect space to have your ceremony. And if you need somebody to officiate we can give you a true wedding at sea with our dear friend Captain Arnold. Captain Arnold’s ceremonies are beautiful and unique. It’s called the “Ceremony of Love” and he’s performed it around the world. Captain Arnold has been a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain for 40 years. He’s also an ordained chaplain registered with the City of New York.
Features of The Skyline Princess
The Skyline Princess can carry up to 450 guests. The ship leaves year round in all types of weather and we are able to provide you with a private bridal suite. The top deck of the ship, also known as the Skyline deck has a dance floor and a space for a DJ. You can set up the other two decks the way you want. For example, you can have the cocktail hour on the lower deck and your reception on the middle deck.
We offer many different wedding packages. Skyline’s home port is located in Queens at the World’s Fair Marina and that’s where our public cruises leave from. But you can do a full ship wedding charter from other ports around the area on Long Island or from Connecticut, Westchester, or New Jersey. If you don’t want to cruise in Manhattan, consider an alternative like the Long Island Sound.
If you’re not having a big wedding, consider chartering a single deck or a few tables on one of our public cruises. And we have a multitude of food options as well. Talk to our event planners and we’ll set you up with anything from a modern yacht style cocktail reception or a buffet sit down package. We deal with weddings of many different sizes or budgets and if you have any questions, let us know.
