At Skyline Cruises, we pride ourselves on making the safety of our guests our top priority, just as we have since 1993. There is nothing more important to us than your safety, and we want you to know that we are doing everything we can to make sure that you and our crew remain safe, especially during the Coronavirus pandemic. We are proud to have a track record of healthy passengers for the past 27 years.
We are inspected by both the United States Coast Guard and the NYC Department of Health and follow best practices for safety, sanitizing surfaces, cleanliness, and sanitation. We can’t wait to have you all aboard again and want to share with you all that we are doing to meet or exceed the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization.
Pre-Cruise & Boarding Policies
Rest assured that before you even set foot on the Skyline Princess, our staff has been working diligently to ensure your experience is a safe one. All staff will have their temperatures taken. Before all cruises, our three-deck super yacht, the Skyline Princess, will be thoroughly cleaned. Our staff will be briefed to ensure all guidelines are met and to review any new regulations that may have been put in place.
The capacity of each of our voyages will be greatly reduced to make social distancing easier. Additionally, for all guests 18+, we will be requiring information including name, phone number, and email address for the contact tracing program. Contact Tracers work with people who have tested positive for COVID-19 to identify people they have had contact with and let them know they may have been exposed to the disease. When it comes time to board, our staff will use a contactless thermometer to take all guests’ temperatures. Passengers with temperatures of 100.4 F will be denied entry. Additionally, a health questionnaire will be conducted will all passengers boarding the boat at the top of the gangway.
During the Cruise
Once aboard, you will notice the policies we put in place to make your experience a safe one. The first thing you will notice is the implementation of designated up and down staircases. You will also notice floor directions to ensure 6 feet of distance amongst groups. A crew member will be positioned at the bathrooms to limit the number of guests allowed in at one time. Bathrooms will be repeatedly cleaned with EPA-approved COVID-19 cleaners.
Throughout the ship, you will also notice hand sanitizer stations. When it comes time to dine, there will be private tables for all groups next to the windows. All flatware is plastic for one-time use. Our buffet station will now feature protective shields. Our wait staff will be required to wear a mask and gloves and will serve each guest.
Please keep in mind that face coverings for all guests 3+ will be required while onboard the Skyline Princess, except while dining and unless exempted by the local health authority. Face coverings must:
- Fully cover an individual’s nose and mouth and allow the guest to remain hands-free.
- Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face.
- Be secured with ties or ear loops.
- Be made of breathable material, either disposable or reusable.
Guests who do not have a face mask will not be permitted entry.
Skyline Cruises is Committed to Safety
We are hopeful that life will return to normal one day soon. In the meantime, this situation is constantly changing and we are committed to do our best to keep up with the new information released by the public officials to keep everyone healthy and safe. We hope to see you aboard!
