Do you remember where you were a quarter of a century ago? Bill Clinton was in the White House, Derek Jeter was in the minor leagues, nobody knew what social media was, and Justin Bieber hadn’t even been born yet. A lot can happen in 25 years and we certainly understand that at Skyline Cruises. We’re celebrating our 25th season on the waters around the greatest city in the world.
Skyline Knows How to Celebrate
Of course, every day is a celebration aboard our 3-deck luxury yacht the Skyline Princess. That’s because we’ve hosted just about every type of celebration you can think of over the last quarter century. The Skyline Princess is like no other venue in the area for your celebration. Whether you’re entertaining business clients or planning a function like a retirement party, you’ll have enough space. The ship is Coast Guard Certified to carry up to 450 passengers.
We’re also a great venue for personal celebrations like Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet Sixteens, Quinceañera or any birthday party, anniversary, family or school reunion or any other celebration you can think of.
We’re New York’s Most Unique Wedding Venue
If there’s one thing we’ve been proud of over the last 25 years, it’s our standing as New York’s most unique wedding venue. We plan weddings of all kinds, including large nuptial ceremonies that require a full ship charter, to smaller weddings. We often charter a private deck on one of Skyline’s public cruises for smaller weddings we can even set aside a table or two if you’re planning to have just a few people attend the affair.
All of our public cruises leave from our home port at the World’s Fair Marina in Flushing, Queens. It’s convenient to La Guardia Airport and many nearby hotels. Our full ship charters leave from many ports in the area from elsewhere on Long Island, Westchester, Connecticut, New Jersey or Manhattan.
One of the most requested ceremonies is a wedding at sea officiated by our longtime friend Captain Arnold. He’s been a Coast Guard licensed captain for more than 40 years. And he’s the only captain who’s also registered as an ordained chaplain with the City Clerk’s office in New York City.
We offer great food options for weddings and any other event we hold on the Skyline Princess from a casual cocktail party to a formal sit-down banquet, all prepared by our onboard chef. We hope you book your wedding with Skyline this year and celebrate your 50th anniversary during our 25th season!
