A lot of people believe it’s the most beautiful time of the year in New York, so why not plan the most beautiful day of your life in autumn? A wedding with Skyline Cruises is always the stuff dreams are made of. But a Fall Wedding Cruise aboard our 3-deck luxury yacht the Skyline Princess can truly be magical. We want to give you 7 great reasons why you should consider booking your wedding with Skyline.
1.) The Beauty of the Season
New York City looks it’s best on a crisp, autumn day. On a Skyline Manhattan Cruise, you’ll see foliage along the East River and see the spectacular New York City Skyline. Our public cruises leave from our home port at the World’s Fair Marina. We also do private full ship charters from many ports in NY, NJ, LI, Westchester, and Connecticut. One of our more popular private full ship charters during autumn is our Long Island Sound Cruises which leave from Port Washington, Westchester, and Connecticut. You can see spectacular foliage and local lighthouses.
2.) We Can Plan Anything
If you’re looking to plan a fall wedding, we can handle it. We’ve been planning weddings since we started business in 1993. In fact, we can plan all of types of events. We’ll also do bridal showers, anniversary celebrations, and other celebrations like Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet Sixteen parties as well as corporate events and charity functions. Whatever event you’re planning, Skyline is the perfect venue.
3.) A Skyline Cruise Costs Less Than You Think
Skyline Cruises is used to working with clients who have all different budgets. We’re happy to offer a full ship charter for your fall wedding. But we’ll also rent a deck of the Skyline Princess on one of our public dinner cruises. Skyline is used to dealing with groups of various sizes, so if you need just a table or two for your wedding, we likely can accommodate you. In fact, some of our most popular weddings involve international travelers who come with a party of only 2 to 4 people. Whatever it is you’re looking for, just ask, we’ll try to work with your budget.
4.) Our Friend Captain Arnold
One of the great things about booking a wedding on a Skyline Cruise is that we know a great marriage officiant. It’s our dear friend Captain Arnold. He’s been an active Coast Guard Licensed Captain for over 40 years, and Captain Arnold is the only Captain who is also an “ordained chaplain” who is registered with the City Clerk’s Office of the City of New York. His ceremonies are beautiful and he’s one of a kind. They’ve been seen around the world and on programs such as ABC’s Good Morning America.
5.) The Skyline Princess
Our ship, the Skyline Princess, is the perfect wedding venue. We’re Coast Guard certified to carry 450 people and we cruise year-round in all weather. The top deck of the ship is enclosable or open and it has a dance floor and DJ space. The other two decks can be used as a cocktail or dining space.
6.) You’ll Love the Food
You’ll also have plenty of food options aboard the Skyline Princess. We can plan cocktail receptions, offer a choice of six out of nearly two dozen hors d’oeuvres, carving stations, pasta stations, and a bistro table. We also can give you a more traditional sit-down option which includes choices of hors d’oeuvres, entrees, carving stations, and side dishes. We also provide salad, fruits, cheeses, flatbread, and desserts as well as a wedding cake. All of our food is provided by our in-house chef.
7.) Skyline Shows You the Sights of New York City
Finally, you’ll see some of the most iconic sights in the greatest city in the world including the Empire State Building United Nations, Brooklyn Bridge, Ellis Island, and of course, the Statue of Liberty.
