How Do You Plan a School Event?
Our in-house event planners will work to take as much of the load off your shoulders as possible. If you have your own bands or DJs, caterers or other vendors, we are happy to work with them. If not, our expert staff can take on those duties utilizing the dizzying array of connections we’ve built up over more than three decades of cruises.
There are some basic steps you can take to ensure that your event goes off as planned:
- Create a concise list of objectives. (i.e., booking a band or DJ.
- Determine your budget, with extra set aside for the unexpected.
- Book your venue. (Obviously, we recommend the Skyline Princess).
- Determine your vendors (catering, supplies, services, and other expenditures).
- Always, always make an alternate plan in case something unexpected happens.
The Skyline Princess
The Skyline Princess is able to host up to 450 people during a private cruise if all three decks are used. The first two decks are enclosed, climate-controlled, and each has its own bar and outdoor viewing area. The rooftop deck is covered and fully enclosable, equipped with a dance floor and DJ booth, making it the perfect setting for a school dance.

While you are more than welcome to bring in your own vendors and caterers if you choose, we do have a complete staff standing by to realize your vision. Our chefs will develop the menu with you, ensuring that favorite or traditional dishes are present while also providing options for those with special or restricted diets. (Please make sure to inform us of any allergies in advance.) Our experienced event planners will cheerfully take on any aspects of the planning that you wish, up to and including developing it from the ground up.
