Fall is here, and for many, this is the perfect time of the year for seasonal outings and excursions. When you book a date with Skyline Cruises, you are guaranteed an unforgettable time no matter the time of year. We are famous for our dinner cruises which give you unbelievable views of iconic New York City sights, but did you know we also have cruises on the Long Island Sound where you can truly take in all the stunningly beautiful and colorful fall foliage?
Check Out the Gold Coast’s Fall Colors
Skyline Cruises offer scenic excursions along the North Shore of Long Island and the Connecticut side of the Sound. The optimal time to see the best foliage is late October and early November when the Long Island Sound is surrounded with autumn beauty. Some of the sights that you will see on the North Shore include Fort Schuyler, the home to SUNY Maritime College, and Fort Totten, a Civil War Fortress.
Enjoy views of historic lighthouses such as Sands Points, Execution Rocks, and Stepping Stones Lighthouses as you leisurely cruise along the Sound. Other landmarks that you’ll get unparalleled views of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, and historic Hart Island, which once served as a Civil War internment camp.
The North Shore of Long Island is dotted with nature preserves and parks which blaze with color during the fall. Sands Point Preserve, Welwyn Preserve, and Oyster Bay National Wildlife Refuge are home to hundreds of species of birds, sea turtles, harbor seals, and fish. The Oyster Bay Refuge is also home to NY State’s only commercial oyster farm.

The Skyline Princess has the facilities to accommodate large corporate events, making our superyacht a terrific place to hold a business meeting or to entertain clients.
We are happy to host special events of all types, from anniversary celebrations to Sweet Sixteens and Bar/Bat Mitzvah cruises. We proudly offer more than just wonderful views. We also have a full range of event options from a cocktail-style party to a full banquet. Our food is all freshly prepared by our in-house chef in our ship’s galley.
Our three decks are available for many uses. Our all-weather rooftop level, the Skylight deck, can be fully enclosed or left open. The Skylight deck has a full dance floor and plenty of room for a DJ. It’s a perfect place to dance the night away or to just enjoy the sights!
