If you want to have spectacular views of Mother Nature’s most colorful show, you can find it with a Skyline Cruise. We may be known for our unique views of New York City and its iconic buildings, but that’s not all we do. Our 3-deck luxury yacht, the Skyline Princess also cruises on the Long Island Sound and our guests will find an autumn cruise on this beautiful waterway breathtaking.
Skyline Cruises Makes Excursions Spectacular
Whether you’re looking for a great day or evening out or if you’re planning an event, Skyline will make it spectacular. We’re one of the area’s most amazing wedding venues and we can offer an incredible shipboard ceremony officiated by our longtime friend Captain Arnold. We give you the space you need for corporate events. The Skyline Princess is a unique place to hold a business meeting or to entertain clients.
We’re in our 25th season of holding events of all types, from anniversary celebrations to Sweet Sixteen and Quinceañera parties. Skyline offers more than just wonderful views. We can serve up anything from a cocktail party to a full banquet, all prepared by our onboard chef. Skyline makes memories on every excursion and we want to tell you about our incredible autumn Long Island Sound Cruises.
The Beauty of The Long Island Sound
If you’re interested in booking a cruise on the Long Island Sound, Skyline offers full ship charters. While our public dinner cruises leave from our home port at the World’s Fair Marina in Flushing Queens, our full ship charters can leave from other ports on the sound in Westchester, elsewhere across Long Island, or Connecticut. Full ship charters can also leave from Manhattan or New Jersey.
We offer excursions on the North Shore of Long Island and the Connecticut side of the sound. Either way, you’ll see some beautiful foliage this time of year. In this region, the season usually peaks in mid-October. Among the sights that you’ll see on the north shore are Fort Schuyler, the home to SUNY Maritime College, and Fort Totten, a Civil War fortress.
Execution Rocks near Westchester County, Sands Point, an early 19th Century lighthouse that was once owned by publisher William Randolph Hearst, and the Stepping Stones Lighthouse off the coast of Great Neck are among the other sights you’ll see on your excursion. You’ll see plenty of mansions along the way and other sights such as the US Merchant Marine Academy, located at Kings Point and historic Hart Island, which once served as a Civil War internment camp.
