Autumn is one of the most gorgeous times of the year. The captivating colors of fall foliage are truly breathtaking and a beautiful backdrop for family and seasonal portraits. The Long Island Sound is surrounded by beautiful fall foliage this time of year, so now is the perfect time to hop aboard our three-deck luxury yacht, the Skyline Princess to experience the magic of the autumn season!

Fall Foliage Lighthouse Tour

This year, we are so excited to be setting sail on several fall foliage lighthouse tours and we would love for you to join in on the fun! Typically, the fall foliage season peaks in late October. We recommend consulting New York State’s fall foliage report to get the most out of your Skyline Cruise. Book your preferred date and hop aboard as we sail from the World’s Fair Marina to Sand’s Point Lighthouse and back for a memorable 2.5-hour trip! Landmarks that we will be viewing include:

We encourage everyone to bring your own food, beverages, and cooler so that you can kick back and relax with your loved ones. We also encourage everyone to bring along your cameras and your binoculars to take in and capture the stunning views.

Due to shifting clouds and sunlight, taking photos outdoors can create interesting results. During the fall months, the midday sun along with stunning blue skies makes red and orange foliage pop, thus creating gorgeous photo opportunities! Cloudy days offer picturesque opportunities as shadows help to create unique points of interest! According to Canon, when taking outdoor photos with a combination of warm and cool colors, using a polarizing lens filter can reduce reflections from water, make skies a darker blue, and enhance cloud contrast, all of which helps balance colors and make the whole scene more vivid!

The Skyline Princess is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized prior to each sailing, and social distancing protocols are strictly followed. This includes bathroom attendants to monitor the number of passengers allowed in at one time, designated up and down staircases, and private tables so that groups who come together can enjoy their food away from others.

The Skyline Princess is currently operating with a limited guest capacity of 100 people to keep its passengers safely distanced. We pride ourselves on making the safety of our customers and staff our top priority and we want you to know that we are committed to continuing to meet or exceed NYC guidelines for health and safety. We will continue to follow best practices for safety, sanitizing surfaces, cleanliness, and sanitation.

No matter the reason for celebrating, choosing the Skyline Princess as your waterfront venue will promise memories for a lifetime and safe, outdoor social distancing. In order to keep you and your loved ones safe, our health procedures are as follows:

• All staff have their temperature taken prior to boarding.
• All guests 18 and older must supply contact information for Contact Tracers.
• All guests must have their temperatures taken prior to boarding the ship. Guests with temperatures will not be permitted to board.
• Health questionnaires must be completed prior to boarding.
• All guests ages 3+ must have appropriately fitting face coverings except while eating or if medically exempt. Guests who do not use face coverings are not permitted to board.

When you host your special event aboard the Skyline Princess, you have the opportunity to bring aboard your own caterer for delicious food options to be devoured by you and your guests. Pair that with the spectacular views, and it will surely be an event to remember for years to come!
