There are two ways to hold a business meeting. You can hold one in an office complex and plow through your agenda and while you may take care of what needs to be done, it would be pretty unremarkable and not memorable for your employees or any guests who may have traveled to be there. The other way to hold a meeting is to hold it at a venue that attendees will never forget. That’s why you should hold your next business meeting on an NYC Skyline Cruise.
Skyline Hosts All Types of Events
Skyline Cruises are perfect for any occasion and we’ve hosted all types of events and celebrations since we started business in 1993. We’ve done events and fundraisers, charitable auctions and business meetings of all kind.
But we also do so much more. Just about any event can be hosted aboard our luxury yacht, the Skyline Princess. We also host personal celebrations such as weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, anniversaries, birthdays and Sweet Sixteen celebrations. We offer a full ship charter of the Skyline Princess, but we also work with smaller groups. If you plan a smaller gathering you can reserve a deck on one of our public dinner or brunch cruises. Sometimes we host events that just require a table or two. Skyline works with all kinds of budgets and whatever it is that you desire, just reach out to us and we’ll try to accommodate you.
Business Meeting Etiquette
We serve a number of corporate clients, and the Skyline Princess has hosted countless business meetings, so let’s give you a refresher on business etiquette. The Houston Chronicle gives several etiquette guidelines including:
- Arrive 15 minutes early to get situated.
- The meeting chairperson should circulate the agenda a week in advance.
- Take 20-minute breaks every two hours.
- The meeting chair should decide whether attire is business casual or business formal.
- Turn off cell phones prior to the meeting and don’t use laptops unless they’re approved for the meeting.
Skyline also wants you to know that there’s an etiquette issue with chartering the Skyline Princess for business meetings. We recommend that you hold business meetings and events on weekdays or weeknights. This is because attendees often plan to spend weekends taking care of personal issues and spending time with friends and loved ones.
Skyline Cruises Makes Events Memorable
A corporate event on a Skyline cruise will provide a memorable backdrop for your business. Many of our cruises leave from our home port at the World’s Fair Marina in Queens, but we also provide full ship private charters from many ports in NY, NJ, LI, Westchester, and Connecticut. You’ll cruise past iconic New York City sites such as the Empire State Building, United Nations, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.
We have superb food prepared by our onboard chef who can prepare anything from a sit-down banquet, corporate luncheon or informal cocktail party. The Skyline Princess is Coast Guard Certified to carry up to 450 passengers. The 3-deck ship departs year round and is climate controlled for all weather. We can adapt our space to your needs. For example, the bottom deck can be used as a dining area while the middle deck can be a meeting space. If you choose to entertain your guests, the top deck of the Skyline Princess is equipped with a dance floor.
Whatever you require for your business meeting, just ask our staff. Skyline Cruises will provide a memorial venue for your next business meeting and we can help you plan all types of events. To learn more, contact us today.
